SmallCapVoice Talks with Bonnie Hilliard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for DataTrax Technologies, about Where the Company and the Industry Have Been and Where They’re Going

Bonnie Hilliard, our Vice President of Sales and Marketing, recently spoke with Stuart Smith from SmallCapVoice as part of the SmartCard Marketing Systems Inc. Fintech Accelerator showcase.

In addition to talking about DataTrax’s history, including milestones like the VTrax virtual ticket-selling platform, Bonnie and Stuart also touched on topics related to some of the key things DataTrax aims to help its customers achieve:

  • Simplifying Administration: DataTrax’s solutions are engineered to maximize convenience and simplicity. “We provide a really simple way for [customers] to control all of their sales arms and capture all of that data, and then report [it],” said Bonnie. “That way no matter if they’re selling online, if they’re selling on the street—they can take all of those multiple sales arms and platforms, and have them in one central location, which makes it easy to use and simplifies their processes for distribution quite dramatically.”
  • Ensuring the Booking Process is Seamless: “One of the main things that I’m really seeing is this need for simplicity and seamlessness. You’ve seen it in recent years in the booking-to-boarding process.” Bonnie continued, “Travelling from Point A to Point B in the travel industry is much different than touring because it involves so many different activities and tours and means of transportation, and so we’re really looking at integrations and collaborations with multiple companies to make that a seamless process.”
  •  Streamlining Global Deployment: “Our plan in the last few years has been to go global. With that in mind, we’ve released a lot of projects that really create an ease of deployment for international growth.” Examples of these innovative solutions that Bonnie highlighted include DataTrax’s new inventory system, multi-currency and multi-language settings, and more.
  • Making the Most of the Sharing Economy: “People in our industry are seeing it as a threat to the traditional way of tourism, but I think that DataTrax has really found a way to bridge this gap. We’ve actually created this marketplace…a place where tour operators and attractions and resellers can share their products amongst each other. I think it’s going to be another way of thinking of this sharing economy, and it can be a way to bring this idea in and bring strength to the industry.”
